“Peace is innate. It is within all of us. What we are looking for is within us. That’s where we will find it. Peace begins within me.”A message with which ‘Youth Peace Foundation’ a non-profit organization, organized a programme on 21st September, the International Day of Peace, at the Bhasha Bhavan Auditorium of National Library, Kolkata. First, a ‘Walk for Peace’ was held at 10:45 am starting from the venue. Dr.P.Y. Rajendra Kumar, the Director General of National Library, being the special guest of ours, gave a green signal to this fortunate Walkathon. More than 200 people participated with great enthusiasm. It was like a call for awakening for one and all.
A cultural event was also organized after this rally, in which Eklavya, a Youth Band, presented a fascinating musical show. Mr. Arun Kumar Khandelia, Chairman, Institute of Company Secretaries of India (EIRC) was the chief guest of this event. The Chief guest, other dignitaries and a few from the audience expressed their views on Peace.
This event was organized to develop a Culture of Peace amongst the youth of today’s society.
